Last week I started getting “Memories” from seven years ago in my Facebook feed. You see, we started filming for Schoolhouse Rocked: The Homeschool Revolution in December of 2016, so we were posting a lot at that time.
God has done SO MUCH in the past seven years. We had no idea what he was doing (let alone what we were doing) when we started. We had no idea how long it would take to release the film, no idea that the film would lead to podcasts, conferences, and an enduring ministry to homeschool families. We had no idea where we would end up when we left our home in California, no idea how long it would take to settle again, no idea how many friends we would make as we traveled across the country, or how many adventures and trials we would face along the way. We had no idea how many lives would be impacted, including our own. God is so good.
What we did know, even then, was that we could trust God. We also knew that it was going to take the support of the homeschool community to do any of this, and God moved in the hearts of his people to provide for His work. We are so thankful.
1,008,762 THANKS:
As I was trying to put the year – and the past seven years – into perspective for our friends, partners, subscribers, listeners, supporters, and sponsors, I thought it would be a good Idea to look at this year’s statistics for audio downloads and video views for the Schoolhouse Rocked Podcast and the Homeschool Insights Podcast. I was very excited to find that, for the first time, we broke the 1,000,000 mark in 2023! Just across our major podcast and social media platforms, we had 1,008,762 downloads and video views in the past 12 months, with several thousand more on other platforms. That’s amazing! We couldn’t be more thankful and humbled to see how God is using Schoolhouse Rocked to impact families, and we can’t wait to see what he does in the years to come!
There is still much more to do and we have some large, immediate financial needs in order to continue this important work. To this end, we are seeking to raise $25,000 by the end of the year, and because of your generosity we’re off to a great start.
